A gothic novella which doesn't scare but teaches to love and spread smiles!

A timeless Christmas classic with a spirit of love and giving.

A stern, dry, skinflint Mr. Scrooge is paid visitations from his long-lost friend Marley and the spirits of Past, Present, Future during Christmas eve.

These encounters mellow down his hardened spirit and renders a change of heart. He becomes happy as an angel, merry as a schoolboy and as giddy as a drunken man. 

In short, he is altered from a hardened monster into a human which we all are supposed to be. 

A totally splendid light-hearted one-sitting read.

"I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future."

5 stars for this. Shall read it every Christmas from this year onwards.

      On my last-minute whim, I grabbed, a story of an erotic love affair between a 15-year-old German boy, Michael Berg, and 35-year-old, Hanna Schmitz ! Suffering from hepatitis and Hanna nurturing him, In due course both develop passionate feelings for each other. They keep their relationship under wraps. <b>The key point</b>  – he would read out to her, and not vice-versa (avoiding spoilers, on why?) Eventually, as Michael matures, the relationship starts dwindling, <b>Hanna disappears into thin air!</b> Destiny bestows a second encounter between the two, but in vexatious circumstances. The Princess Bride By William Goldman

To help recuperate the sick child (Author William Goldman ), the old father reads out the story of “ The Princess Bride ” by S. Morgenstern to him. Years later, obsessed with the book, determined to procure a copy of it, extensively rummaging through bookshops, William Goldman finally ends up finding an ancient copy of it. He eventually realizes that his father read out only the “ good parts of the story ”, and resorts to opting for the fictional route of writing the abridged story of “The Princess Bride”.   Well going through the extended introduction was wee tedious and boring for me, so I skimmed through it .
